2012 – Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst reopens

The Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst in the Löwenbräukunst-Areal reopens on 16 November 2012 after two years of renovation work with the first Swiss solo exhibition of Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson. The converted premises give the internationally renowned museum a framework for presenting artworks in a forward-looking manner. The building now has two exhibition floors: one is used to present the collection, while the other is available for temporary solo and group exhibitions. An event room means the art education activities and side events can be expanded.
